INFORMATION ABOUT JANET

I was born in the small town of Zell, MO about 1 hour south of St. Louis, MO. I was the youngest of 3 brothers and 1 sister. Our childhood was awesome; we played games, played outside with the neighborhood kids (the Bauman’s) you couldn't ask for anything better as a child.

I went to grade school at St. Josephs in Zell. I went to high school at Valle High School in Ste. Genevieve, MO. I am happy to say that after these years I still get to go to a monthly lunch with a number of my classmates.

After graduation from high school I was blessed to marry my childhood friend and neighbor Mr. Ken Bauman.
Ken and I had a total of five children three boys and two girls. We had a wonderful and happy family in Zell, MO. At the age of 6 my little boy Dale was called home to be with Our Lord. The following year, my daddy was also called home to heaven. A year later my husband Ken was fatally injured in a truck accident.

With the help of my family, friends, and strong upbringing and faith in God we survived and continued living.

A number of years later my friend Annie DeRouch arranged for me to meet a guy named Gerry. After about a year, Gerry and I got married in St. Joseph’s Church in Zell, MO.
Five years later we moved to Camarillo, CA. We took Grandma Grace (Janet’s mom) the twin boys, the youngest daughter along with us; the oldest daughter was starting her last year at South East Missouri State and wanted to finish there. After she graduated from SEMO she moved to Camarillo with us.

We really enjoyed CA. and met a lot of fine people. We got to do a lot of traveling with the folks in a car group. Grace moved back to Missouri a number of years later, but life went on. We stayed in CA. for several more years and then got kind of home sick, plus both Gerry’s mom and my mom were getting up in years so it was time to go home.
By then the kids had their own lives and remained in CA. The oldest daughter had already moved back to St. Louis. A couple of years later the youngest and her kiddos moved to the Denver area. At this time both of the twins still lived in CA.

We have been back in St. Louis for over 20 years and have downsized our life and home.  Gerry has fully retired and we get to do a number of fun things.  I am in a number of ladies groups in our subdivision, including a card group, a Mahjongg group, and a ladies breakfast group.  We have made a lot of good friends and are having a lot of fun.  We are both in a couple of Game Night groups.
Thanks to the age of computers we get to be very involved with all of our children.

Our life has been and is still great thanks for the BLESSINGS we have received from God.
